Privacy Policy
FeedZen is an RSS reader. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It was written to be read by people and by AI assistants acting on their behalf.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (hashed), or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
- Subscription data — the RSS feeds you subscribe to, the lists you organize them into, muted terms, starred articles, and reading actions such as pins.
- Content from feeds — article titles, links, summaries, and publication dates fetched from the feeds you subscribe to so they can be shown in your timeline.
- AI features — when you request a summary, recap, or follow-up answer for an article, the relevant article text is sent to our AI provider through OpenRouter to generate it.
- Payments — subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Usage telemetry — standard server logs and product analytics that help us keep the service working.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information or your reading data.
- We do not run advertising.
- We do not share your feed subscriptions with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep things
Your account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, subscriptions, lists, stars, and settings are removed. Server logs may persist for a short operational window before expiring.
Your choices
You can update your profile, export your subscriptions as OPML, manage muted terms, and delete API clients from your settings pages. You can delete your account entirely from your settings, which removes your data as described above.
Third parties we rely on
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Google — optional sign-in with Google.
- OpenRouter — AI summaries, recaps, and follow-up answers.
